Na tato kola poskytovali nejenom servis, ale dokonce p\u0159i\u0161li i n\u00e1padem prodeje na spl\u00e1tky, tak\u017ee kolo si mohli dovolit i m\u00e9n\u011b majetn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed lid\u00e9. Popt\u00e1vka rostla a sn\u00ed tak\u00e9 po\u010det zam\u011bstnanc\u016f a r\u016fzn\u00fdch typ\u016f kol. V roce 1897 Laurin &amp; Kliment kupuj\u00ed na periferii m\u011bsta jeden\u00e1ctihektarov\u00fd pozemek, kde z\u0159izuj\u00ed v\u00fdrobn\u00ed halu. Tady u\u017e na t\u0159ech typech kol, zab\u00fdvaj\u00ed se i modely d\u011btsk\u00fdch kol a vyrob\u00ed dokonce bicykl poh\u00e1n\u011bn\u00fd elektrick\u00fdm motorkem a jednom typu motocyklu pracuje t\u0159icet dva d\u011bln\u00edk\u016f a \u0161est u\u010d\u0148\u016f. Z p\u016fvodn\u00edho z\u00e1m\u011bru v\u00fdroby kol se firma p\u0159ikl\u00e1n\u00ed na motocykly, kter\u00e9 ji pom\u00e1haly propagovat sportovn\u00ed jezdci zn\u00e1m\u00fdch jmen, jako Franti\u0161ek Toman a V\u00e1clav Vond\u0159ich.V roce 1907 vznik\u00e1 akciov\u00e1 spole\u010dnost Laurin &amp; Klement zab\u00fdvaj\u00edc\u00ed se v\u00fdrobou automobil\u016f a zam\u011bstn\u00e1vaj\u00edc\u00ed na 400 zam\u011bstnanc\u016f. St\u00e1vaj\u00ed se tak z\u00e1rove\u0148 nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edm v\u00fdrobcem v Rakousku-Uhersku. Jejich velk\u00fdm propag\u00e1torem se stal hrab\u011b Sa\u0161a Kolowrat, kter\u00fd na jejich vozech z\u00edskal \u0159adu prvenstv\u00ed v r\u016fzn\u00fdch z\u00e1vodech.Zd\u00e1lo by se, \u017ee nic nestoj\u00ed v cest\u011b dal\u0161\u00edho rozvoje, ale p\u0159i\u0161la v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00e1 a pov\u00e1le\u010dn\u00e1 l\u00e9ta, kter\u00e1 zp\u0159etrhala obchodn\u00ed vazby, proto\u017ee mnoz\u00ed z\u00e1kazn\u00edci se nov\u00fdm politick\u00fdm uspo\u0159\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00edm ocitli vlastn\u011b za hranicemi. Odbyt se st\u00e1le sni\u017eoval, a firma se pokusila p\u0159ij\u00edt na trh s motorov\u00fdm pluhem Excelsior, kter\u00fd byl sice \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fd, ale pozvoln\u00fd \u00fapadek spole\u010dnosti jenom o n\u011bco m\u00e1lo zbrzdil. Nav\u00edc se na trh tla\u010dili levn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed konkurenti jako Tatra a Praga. K dovr\u0161en\u00ed v\u0161eho, v roce 1924 zas\u00e1hl are\u00e1l z\u00e1vodu velk\u00fd po\u017e\u00e1r a ten oba spole\u010dn\u00edky p\u0159inutil k f\u00fazi se stroj\u00edrensk\u00fdm koncernem \u0160kodov\u00fdch z\u00e1vod\u016f v Plzni.
